Car Radio / Stereo Decoding and Unlocking.

Decode options...
There are two ways to have your car stereo decoded, the quickest and least expensive way is by serial number.
The
RED menu buttons above are links to models supported by this method.
All other models can be decoded manually.

Decode by serial number
- e-mail us with your car radio serial number and we will send you the correct code. Use the RED menu buttons above to order your radio code.
(Serial number decodes from £2.50)

Manual decode - Send your car stereo to our workshop and we will return it with the correct code. Manual decodes can be done while-u-wait at our workshop. (Manual decodes from £8.50)

Why does my car radio need decoded?

If you disconnect and reconnect the battery in your car, any security coded car radios will no longer work.

When you switch the radio on it may ask for a code before it will function, this doesn't apply to all car radios, only the ones that have a security code system activated.

If your radio displays any of the following messages, it will need decoded.    >>>

Serial number decoding

The easiest, quickest and least expensive way to get your code is by serial number, the cost of this service is £2.50 for most models, and the code is sent to you by e-mail or over the phone.

Unfortunately this service doesn't cover all makes and models, the RED menu bar above has the makes that are covered (this includes thousands of models).

Just click on the Make of your Radio and fill out the online form (5 easy steps) you will then be taken to the secure paypal website to complete your transaction.

After the payment has been confirmed we will send your code by e-mail, if you need your code urgently, give us a call (01324 888818) and we will give you the code over the phone.

Note: codes will only be given over the phone when payment has been confirmed.

Call Radiowaves to check if your model is covered 01324 888818

If your make or model is not supported you will need the manual decoding service below.

Manual decoding

The last button on the RED menu bar above is for manual decoding, this is for all models not supported by serial number, before sending your radio, please contact us with your make and model and we will confirm decode options.

How does it work?

Inside all modern car radios there is a memory chip (EEPROM) that stores data such as radio station presets, last volume level, radio serial number and the radio code.

To decode your radio we connect an interface between the radio EEPROM and computer, the software then reads the contents of the EEPROM and decodes the the data in the location that stores the code.

The Code is then checked and sent back to you on a printed invoice with the radio.

The cost of this service is £15.00 including return P&P for most models. see below for more details.

ALL MANUAL DECODES ARE DONE AND RE-SENT THE SAME DAY THEY ARRIVE.

(providing the radio reaches us before 2pm)

Can any car radio be decoded?

Most car radios, CD players, DVD players and sat-nav car stereos can be decoded, all models that can't be decoded by serial number can be decoded at our workshop. [Decode List]
