Car stereo decoding/unlocking by serial number

  

Send the serial number from your car stereo and we will send you the correct code number by e-mail or over the phone, the cost of this service is £5.00. Models not covered by this service can be decoded manually at our workshop. Available for Ford, Becker, Blaupunkt, Philips, Becker, Grundig and some other makes. (not all models are covered) click link on left for more details.
 
Car stereo decoding/unlocking manually at our workshop

    

This service is for models not covered by our serial number service, the stereo is decoded by reading the memory from the Stereo and decrypting the part where the code is stored. You can have your stereo manually decoded from £10.00 and can be done while-u-wait at our workshop.
 
Car stereo repairs

  

We repair most makes and models of car stereo including DVD units, amplifiers, CD players, CD changers,  MP3 players, MD players, Tape players and Radios. Old vintage models can also be repaired/serviced.

Mobile phone unlocking

 We unlock most makes and models of mobile phones, our unlocking hardware and software is constantly being updated to cover new models.  e.g. if you want to use your vodafone phone on O2 you will need to have your phone unlocked. When your phone is unlocked it will accept any sim card worldwide and won't be restricted to the original network Click on the link on the left for more details, mobile phones can be unlocked from £10.00
 
Mobile phone repairs

     

Mobile phones are now indispensable tools and are fallible like any other electronic devices, at Radiowaves we repair hardware and software faults on your phone including, LCD screens, connector ribbons, speakers, microphones, keypads, signal problems, charging/power faults, switches and other problems such as water damage removal. Firmware upgrades and unlocking are also available.  You can purchase phone chargers and sim cards from our Online Shop
 
IPOD and MP3 repairs

  iPod

 iPods and other portable music players can be expensive so it makes sense to have them repaired when the break down. We can repair your unit for a fraction of the cost of a new unit, most iPods that are brought to us for repair can be repaired from only £30.00. Internal batteries can fail after a couple of years and can be easily replaced at our workshops. click wheels, headphone and charger sockets are also common faults in iPods and other portable music players. Physically damaged units with broken screens can be repaired at a reasonable cost.
 
PDA repairs

 Broken screens, faulty card readers and loose charger/data connectors are common problems we repair on PDA's and handheld computers, we can get LCD screens and touch sensitive membranes for most PDA's. Software problems, and water damaged units can also be rectified. Please send your charger with your PDA when sending for repair.
 

Games console repairs

 Most of the consoles that come in for repair have Disc reading errors cased by faulty lasers or dirty lens on the laser. We can replace faulty lasers on Playstations, Xboxes, PSP's etc. Sometimes cleaning the Lens can cure the problem. Broken screens on PSP's and other hand held consoles can be replaced at a reasonable price.
 
Laptop / PC repairs

         

We repair hardware and software faults in your PC or laptop, anything from broken screen to virus removal can be done at our workshop. Has your screen gone dark? a very common fault in a laptop is the backlight or backlight inverter, We have a high success rate with water damaged laptops, most of the time they just need a good internal clean and keyboard replacement to get it working again. Power sockets are also a very common fault in laptops, we keep new sockets for most popular models in stock.
 
Computer monitor repairs

 Flat screen LCD computer monitors develop faults with the power supply circuits, backlights and on/off switches. We repair all makes and models of LCD/TFT monitors but not the older CRT (cathode ray tube) monitors. Most faults can be repaired from £30.00 - £50.00
 
TV repairs

 Due to our workshop setup we only repair TFT (not CRT) TV's and monitors under 26''. We can recommend a local company who deal with larger sets.
 
Projector repairs

 If your projector stops working most of the time it requires a new lamp, projector lamps can be very expensive, sometime up to 50% the cost of the projector, the lamp can easily be replaced at our workshop for around £15.00. We can supply lamps for most models. Other faults with projectors include...dust on the mirrors/lenses, colour faults, power supply faults and bad connections on the audio/video connectors.
 

Camcorder repairs

 Camcorders and video cameras can develop faults with the mechanisms, cameras, screens and sockets, We supply new batteries for most models. Camcorders may occur an estimate charge due to the amount of time required to dismantle and diagnose the faults.
 

DVD repairs

         

Modern DVD units can be relatively inexpensive therfor parts are not always available, We generally only repair higher end models from Sony, Philips, Panasonic etc. But we will give a free estimate on any model. We repair players and recorders and also portable DVD units, faulty hard drives can be replaced and upgraded in hard drive models.
 

Satellite receiver repairs

 90% of satellite receiver problems are related to the internal power supply, our suppliers provide full power supply PCB's and kits to repair the faulty power supply. Sky can charge up to £75.00 just for a call out, most units can be repaired at Radiowaves from £30.00 - £55.00
 
Cable box/set top box repairs

   

If you cable box breaks down it can be expensive to repair/replace by the cable company, some of them can have a fixed cost of around £75.00. We repair units from NTL, Virgin, Telewest etc. Freeview and Dbox models can also be repaired, a broken aeriel socket is a very common fault on the  Dbox.
 
VCR repairs

 We can still get most parts for old and new Video recorders, some new videos are classed as budget models and we are unable to get parts or service information to repair them, sometimes a service and head clean is all that is needed for repair.
 
Hi-Fi repairs

 Most Hi-fi/Audio equipment that come in for repair have audio or CD problems. We repair most audio equipment including....  CD player, Radios, Tape players/recorders, Mini disc, MP3, Amplifiers, Graphic equalisers, Separates, Record players, Speakers.

 
 
PA amplifiers repairs

 Professional audio equipment including PA amplifiers, Karaoke, Guitar amps, Radio Mics, speakers and cables are repaired at out workshop.

 
 
Remote control repairs

 The average household has 5 or more remote controls for TV's and other audio/video equipment, remotes can be repaired or replaced at a reasonable price.
 
Keyfob remote Repairs

 The switches on car keyfob remotes often fail, these can be easily replaced for around £10.00. IR LED's and circuit components can also go faulty. We can repair most faults on these units including water damage removal.

Some remotes can be reprogrammed when a software problem occurs.

 
 
SAT-NAV repairs

  

TomTom and other satellite navigation systems are becoming more popular and we are starting to see more units in for repair,  common faults are, faulty speakers, switches and power problems. We can also install updates, speed camera and other POI's in to your unit.
 
Data recovery

 Hard drive failure can be a nightmare if you haven't backed up your data, we can recover data from faulty hard drive or USB memory sticks in our dust free tank.
 
Car ECU repairs

 Car ECU units often develop faults causing staring or running problems, this can be due to bad connections (dry joints) due to vibration, Water damage is also a common problem and can be repaired and cleaned. Software problems can be rectified on some units.

 

 
 

Video to DVD transfer

 Video tapes deteriorate in audio/video quality after about 7 years, we can transfer your precious memories to DVD (digital video on DVD does not deteriorate in quality). We transfer most formats including VHS, Betamax, VHSC, Video 8, Mini DV and some other formats.
 
Water/liquid damage removal

   

Water damaged units can be repaired at our workshop, the most common units to be water/liquid damaged are mobile phones, Ipods and other small hand held items, We also repair a lot of water damaged laptops.
 
NOTE: If your unit has been water damaged please remove the battery immediately, this will increase the chances of a successful repair.
 

Insurance reports

 If your unit is damaged beyond economical repair, due to water or physical damage you may be entitled to claim from your insurance company, We can supply a detailed inspection report, including images to your insurance company, this helps speed up the claim process and makes things easier for you and your insurance company, the report is supplied with an invoice which will be reimburse by some insurance companies.
 
Vinyl signs and lettering

 We supply computer cut self adhesive vinyl signs and lettering, vinyl signs are custom made and can be cut to any size (up to 600mm).

Vinyl Colours - we have all the popular colours in stock, including Metallic and florescent colours.

Fonts - Vinyl lettering can be cut in any font (subject to availability)

EEprom/micro reading/writing

         

EEproms, Pics, Micro controllers and flash IC's can be read/written/edited at our workshop, We have programmers for thousands of devices including the popular serial devices found in car stereos and car dashboards.

If you have soldering/desoldering skills why not send the EEprom from your car stereo for decoding, saving on postage costs. Call us if you need assistance.
